Benq won't burn at all, power calibration error right at the start, Pio will burn at 2.4 and 4 but the Pif failures on second layer make it go below quality of 50 in nero cd-dvd speed. The Pioneer shows 2.4x, 4x, 6x and 8x while the Benq only has 2.4x.
Tried all different speeds on 2 different writers. Made in Singapore seem to be better (haven't tried yet) but the ones i got from India are terrible. Ejecting the disc and re-inserting it again usually fixed the problem. Sometimes a blank disc would not burn in my Pioneer DVR-111D. Media text is Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5 2.4x 240. Tested with these three burners: Pioneer DVR-111D (Firmware 1.29), Samsung TSSTcorp SH-S182D (firmware SB06) and Sony DRU-190a (firmware 1.65). These are the best dual layer discs I have ever used, expensive but worth it for the quality. Tested in 3 DVD burners and didn't see any difference in write quality between the discs made in Singapore and the ones made in India.
